I’m Kristen Donley, an interior designer based in Shaker Heights, OH, an area known for its beautiful old homes with character and charm. This neighborhood has become a constant source of inspiration for my work, with its unique architecture and timeless details. I believe that the history and soul of a space can really inform and elevate a design, which is why I focus on blending old-world charm with modern sensibilities.
After studying interior design at the New York Institute of Design, I immersed myself in both the fundamentals and the emerging trends that shape this craft. I’m passionate about using natural, high-quality materials and believe that heirloom pieces and bold fabrics can really bring a space to life, creating designs that are both dynamic and timeless. My style is deeply influenced by traditional English and European aesthetics, often incorporating rich earth tones, botanical prints, and the warmth of brass and copper accents. I often source items from my travels, estate sales, or antique markets to ensure that my clients are left with a space that is uniquely theirs.
I absolutely love working in spaces with old architecture, finding beauty in their quirky imperfections and weaving those elements into designs that feel both elegant and lived in. If you have been thinking about upgrading you home then I’d love to hear from you!
